Not everyone is a collector, and Marc being fully aware of this created a open edition selection of pieces that any connoisseur can purchase. An artful alternative to owning a Limited edition Reef Print is one of these great alternatives. They are a smaller, easily packable, pre-packaged print for sale. Marc feels that a connoisseur of the work should still have the opportunity to obtain a quality piece of artwork, at a more affordable price. Keeping this in mind, Reef Prints strived to create beautiful, lustrous, archival prints for anyone who is not a serious collector, to enjoy them. We use high quality fine art papers & canvas, and the same meticulous attention to detail found in our Limited Edition & Artist Proof Prints.

• Every Open Edition Print is accompanied with a hologram-based Certificate of Authenticity. Signed and embossed, each certificate documents the exact piece of artwork purchased. Each print comes with custom a unique golden Marc Mauro fingerprint to certify its authenticity.

Understanding the mindset of a collector, Marc Mauro decided to focus on quality over quantity when it came to Reproducing his Limited Editions. He chose to keep his Impressions low, so that the gallery may maintain an incredible attention to detail on each individual print. He also felt that by keeping the editions strictly limited, it would help protect any collector’s investment. Marc felt it was a respectful way to show our loyal collectors, a special thank you for their support. Marc retains 5 sets of images from every series for use at events, museum installations and gallery exhibitions. These images may occasionally be made available for purchase. Limited Edition Prints are offered in a price-tier structure, and are set to increase in price as the edition sells. After the edition is sold, that image will never be offered in that size and medium again.

THE SPECIAL LUMINOUS EDITION

 

 

These images on polished aluminum are a modern interpretation of a timeless classic. Many believe the daguerreotype to be the most beautiful of photographic processes. Introduced in 1839, it was the first widely used means of photography. The daguerreotype uses a polished, silver plated sheet of metal, and once seen is easily recognized by its mirror-like surface. The artwork will be created on aluminum that is infused with dyes to create a work of art with incredible visual depth and luminosity. Aluminum represent a new eco-friendly art medium that is durable, waterproof and ultra scratch-resistant. The images take on an a magical luminescence!

ARTIST ‘S PROOFS

 

 

The artist creates four reproductions from The Collector’s Edition and ten reproductions from the Silver Edition. The artist maintains this collection for use at events, museum installations and gallery exhibitions. These images are retained by the artist and may occasionally be made available for purchase

Artist Proof Prints are made using only the finest artisan-crafted archival fine art papers. Each photograph is matched specifically with a rigorously selected paper that maximizes the qualities of individual images. 

Color prints exhibit an incredible range, with a mixture of vibrance and subtle tones, whereas black and white prints showcase magnificent depth and texture. 

Artist Proof Prints are further restricted in size, and are only available in the largest print size available for each photograph.

These are prints that will easily last generations when properly displayed by your framing professional.
